Lenders renting out repossessed homes as holiday lets?

I've been suffering at the hands of buy-to-let landlords. I've been evicted because my previous rental was being repossessed as the landlord had defaulted on the mortgage - my new address has also entered the repossession stages.

My question, I was granted around 5 months extra to stay in the address and I've been waiting for the property to come on the market as I'm looking at buying it but today I past it and saw there was a hen party in the property.

Has it been known for lenders to rent homes out as holiday lets after repossession? This seems rather underhand when we were actually paying a large amount of rent to the lender over the 5 months.

The date we were told to leave by was the 25th May. We left on the 8th May and returned the keys to the Letting Agency as instructed by the solicitor.

Assuming, after going through the proper channels the flat would legally have been repossessed after the 25th May and will now be in the process of being valued and sold. But I was slightly confused to see a hen party there today - there's been no board up at the address saying for sale, it hasn't appeared in any local paper or any local estate agents and I was wondering if it was known for lenders to rent repossessions out as holiday lets?

I've also checked the land registry or whatever it's called to find out all the sale prices in that area and my previous address hasn't appeared.
