Iceland Bonus CArd

I wasnt sure which forum to put this in so sorry if it is in wrong place.

I sometimes shop at iceland so I got one of thier totally free bonus cards, it is like a boots advantage card. Anyway yesterday they gave me a booklet full of discounts and vouchers without me even asking for it.
There were some pretty good offers - lots of 2 for 1 deals on days out eg london dungeon, light water valley, diggerland. Also free delivery, 2 for 1s at blockbuster, free child passo n any national express journey.

Just wondered if anyone else had any experience with this card.

Yes the Iceland card is alright i joined it a few weeks ago and
i got coupon for free bag for life plus they keep sending coupons
to use off your shopping at iceland.
No big deals but every little helps as they say, and it is free and
you just need to swipe it when you shop there.

make sure you swipe every time you shop, even if it is only a small amount, as you automatically get entered into a draw each month. They then notify the winners that they have won, think it is £50 Iceland shopping vouchers.

Just wanted to point out to anyone reading that it is NOT a rewards card like Boots/Tesco etc as you do not earn any points on your shopping.

Instead, as aureol212 pointed out, every time you shop you get entered into a draw to win vouchers at the end of the month.

Sometimes they have additional draws/promotions and you get sent vouchers through the post too but you don't earn any dividends based on the amount of money spent.

Having said that, I love Iceland as it is cheaper than the other supermarkets for the frozen stuff I buy and I always find it good quality.

As voucher schemes go id say this is going on for being one of the most pointless really, an nothing but data capture.

I only swipe it in case I win the vouchers, I dont think Ive bought any of the items as I find them more expensive than other places for oil/ cokes etc.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

iceland sometimes work out cheaper for me. I am a supermarket tart and do price comparisons on products I buy often at all the stores in my area.

But hey you never know, the scheme might pick up... still worth having the card, just in case. And swiping every month.

I use my Bonus Card because I get them to deliver my shopping, if you spend over £25 they deliver FOC and this is a great service when you have little ones with you.

  • If you live in the Northeast of England and have a bonus card you may now be getting coupons printed out at the tills, but only if your local store is part of the pilot. rest of UK after Christmas. Key fobs also to follow with bonuscard, lots more stuff coming soon I hear just for swiping a card :)

Can confirm that big changes are afoot as I've recently started to work for them.
