me old epson R200 has bit the dust, what was a very handy feature of this printer was the fact that you could print directly onto CD/DVD'S
have now got an epson SX200
can anyone recommend any decent (and prefrebly free) software that enables me to print on CD/DVD'S
thanks in Advance

I don't know the Epson SX200 specifically, but generally the problem you will have is the inability of the printer to handle a CD without a special adapter. Usually they are not designed to feed anything that is that thick and that inflexible.
A dedicated CD/DVD print tray is typically designed to bypass the paper feed rollers in some way, and will have additional features to ensure that the CD is correctly aligned (on my Canon, the tray has reflective squares on it for that purpose).
An alternative would be to use one of the sticky label printing products such as those from PressIT, though I personally wouldn't recommend that route, as the labels can unbalance the disk, and also often seemed to cause damage to the CD itself.0 -
A DVD±RW drive with LightScribe or LabelFlash capability might also be worth considering. An alternative would be to use one of the sticky label printing products such as those from PressIT, though I personally wouldn't recommend that route, as the labels can unbalance the disk, and also often seemed to cause damage to the CD itself.0 -
Did your printer not come with the Epson Print CD software?
If not then this is very popular and supports your model. It is not free but $21.95 shouldn't break the bank.
There is also a work-around here you might find interesting.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0
