Hi!

I am wanting to get a 26 sq m patio done. I live in Newtownards and wondered if anybody knew any good contractors. Plus can anybody recommend where to buy the flags. I have been looking at natural aggregate flags from Tobermore and Acheson Glover but I just feel they are overpriced!

What sort of price should I be paying somebody to do a 26 sq m patio?

Whatever you do, do not use Landmark Landscapes in Newtownards. The owner will promise you the world, but once you have paid him, you have no chance that he will return to do any outstanding bits or things that may go wrong after the event. Acheson & Glover are not much better with follow ups either. Get a few quotes (not estimates), from any contractor, and ask to inspect any work that he has completed. Sorry to be so negative as opposed to actually recommending someone, but this has unfortunately been my experience. Good luck.

I can highly recommend McCracken Contracts which is based in Newtownards. Got work done by them recently and the work was of an extremely high standard and they are much cheaper than many others in the area. They are approved by Tobermore Brick and can be contacted on 02891816141.
They will look after the bricks etc too. Give them a call and they will come out and give you advice on what brick you should use and give you a quote.

i have no concept of space butwe got our patio done (not ver big for £1200) and he was very quick and did a great job. if u want the number give me ashout!
