For all those interested......
After extensive research I think the cheapest way to buy branded sunglasses is
1. Go to the nearest Sunglass shops and find the frame you want
2. The cheapest site online I found is 'grandprixlegends' which offers a pricematch guarantee. However for prescription lenses- the cheapest is london-eyewear.co.uk'. I am getting my Oakleys from them this week!! Excited!!
Hope this helps. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post the full link but a google search should get you through.

Trouble is, at most of the high street opticians, they only do sunglass lenses in standard glasses frames so you can't get anything that looks remotely like a 'fashion' pair of sunglasses - branded or otherwise. In particular, it is difficult to get the larger framed styles which are, actually, better for protecting your eyes in bright sunlight.
However, I did find one place that does them. Tesco opticians have a small range of branded sunglasses that they will put a prescription lens in for you. I think it was about £50 on top of the price of the sunglasses last year but I also got a free pair of glasses in a two for one offer they had on at the time so thought it was pretty good value.
Not perfect but better than nothing!0
