Help!
I have a recipe that calls for 3 fl oz of liquid, I don't have anything to measure fluid ounces with and have no idea what one looks like so cannot 'eyeball' it.
Does anyone know a conversion of fl oz to either spoons or cups?
Thanks

Do you have scales? A fluid ounce of water weights an ounce (28g) and will be close enough for most liquids you would cook with. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I'm pretty sure 2 table spoons is one fluid ounce.0

56 82 ml in 2 fluid oz and 1 tbsp is 15 ml and 1 tsp is 5 ml
so that is almost 4 tbsp in 2 fl oz
5.7 tbsp in 3 fl oz0 -
Thanks for the replies

20 fluid ounces is a pint if that helps. I can ususally work it out from that. Roughly.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

something to watch out for though, is that being an American site the pint quoted in the tables is only 16 fluid ounces (the quarts & gallons are similarly different)
as buxtonrabbitgreen pointed out earlier, the British pint is 20 fluid ounces, so confusing the two could have a dramatic effect on how your recipes turn out0
