Sainsbury's loans insurance scam - please read

Hi

To everyone and anyone looking into a loan with Sainsbury's they are very good and efficient and helpful, however...

On thier loan agreement form there is, after where you a sign, a small disclainer saying you are agreeing to pay £101 for domestic helpline insurance. Thats all, not what it is or what you get.

They, when I challenged on this, say you have 30 days to cancel and 'didnt I read my agreement' well they only take your first payement after 6 weeks, so the 30 days is void and no 'I dont read the small section after my signature which is is deliberately hidden in the generic Data Protection disclaimer and position directly above the Sainsbury's official signature section, which was pre-signed when I got my agreement'.

Its a scam... I have complained and the complaint is in progress, I WILL get the money back but the pure inconvinience and the decpetion they use to get this money is disgusting and I would imagine, if looked into in depth, illegal. I certainly feel when you sign a legal document you are only signing to what preceeds your signature, not what comes after... does anyone know if this is ture, any lawayers around? I would love to send you the form to get your opinion.

thanks

Daryl

Looks like u got a loan with sainsburys.

Please could you answer my query? is there any possibility of not accepting the loan after u had got the decision from sainsburys. like in hsbc we have 21 days to accept the loan after the bank decides to give the loan to us.

If you don't want to go through with the loan don't sign the agreement. If you have signed the agreement then cancel and repay the capital in full before the first contracted payment is due.
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.
