We aren't supposed to give that kind of advice on the boards, apart from anything else what works well on one person may cause a terrible allergic reaction on another. I presume you have shown them to GP? And done a search on netdoctor? (where you need to ignore all the information about warts elsewhere!)
I believe the current advice is to ignore them and they'll go away. Eventually. Obviously if there are lots or they're in awkward places this is harder, but the freezing and chemical treatments which they used to believe in don't necessarily work!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
wartner works wonders, 10 pounds from boots. it's pretty much a home-freezing kit0

cured mine with my Grandmothers advice, dont laugh it worked! cut a potatoe in half rub the middle of it on the wart ( now the funny bit) you have to bury the potato and not tell anybody where you put it! I think that bit is all about timing. We tried a strange pen which 'burnt ' it off , but that didnt work and neither did the other medication we tried.0

Hubby told me that when he was a child he had lots of warts on his leg - doctor cut them out but they just grew back; doctor gave him white liquid stuff to put on it but that didn't help. Someone then told his mum to get some grains of wheat, press one onto each wart and stick the grains of wheat into an aubergine whilst saying "when the aubergine rots the warts will disappear". Then they buried the aubergine and the warts went soon after and have never come back.
Sounds spooky but amazingly it worked. Want to try it and let me know?0 -
potatoes and wheat grain... must be some kind of natural protein/ starch remedy ?0

Your GP will freeze them if they are annoying you. I had one done last summer, it was gone in 3 days.0

As for all the 'rub them with something and let it rot' cures, please can someone tell me how you'd know that the 'cure' had worked, or whether they'd just gone with time?
They do, you know! Which is why I believe current medical opinion is to do nothing unless they are causing a problem!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I read in health mag that you rub a raw garlic into wart every night so thats what I tried. 3 days and it went BUT it stung so if its a child or someone with sensitive skin I'd think carefully. It didn't sting v. painfully but I wanted to scratch it for about 10 minutes after.I think its something to do with the antibacterial properties. I had it on the hands mind not somewhere like the delicate face. You pays your money you makes your choiceolympic challenge week 6 = $414.70:j

Neat tea tree oil applied with a cotton bud. My son got rid of 2 warts in a week. Works on veruccas too! Superdrug does little bottles of the undiluted oil, but you need to take care applying it as it can be an irritant to surrounding skin."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I had a very annoying wart on my foot and I dabbed neat lemon essential oil on it - it isn't quick but it does dry it out eventually. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T
