Financial Independence Day - Birmingham City Centre 4 July 2009

What's this all about?
If you live in Birmingham and are having money worries, are not sure where to go for debt advice or would like some information on borrowing and saving Financial Independence Day is taking place on Saturday 4 July 2009 from 10am to 3pm on Edgbaston Street, Bullring Shopping Centre.
There'll be lots of organisations there to give you free advice and information to help you manage your finances.
There is no need to book just turn up on the day.
Who is organising the event?
It's been arranged by the Birmingham Financial Inclusion Partnership, a group of organisations in Birmingham including Citizens Advice Bureau, Consumer Credit Counselling Service, Trading Standards, Job Centre Plus, Credit Unions, Banks and Utilities.
If you're not able to make it, you can get in touch with the Financial Inclusion Partnership by emailing [EMAIL="financialinclusionpartnership@birmingham.gov.uk"]financialinclusionpartnership@birmingham.gov.uk[/EMAIL] or looking at its website.
The following groups will be there on the day:
• Citizens Advice Bureau
• Trading Standards
• Illegal Money Lending Team

• Payplan
• Pertemps, the recruitment agency
• Birmingham Settlement, a local advice charity
• Financial Services Authority
• Severn Trent Water
• Housing Associations
• and many more
