I have been on the Berlin one and the London one (even though I have lived here for 10 years ) and was very impressed with knowledge of the guides and sites shown.
They are free but the guides do not get paid so reply on tips but these are not obligatory at all.

The New Berlin Tour is excellent. They also give you a discount to their pub crawl at the end, which is great if you are traveling alone or want to meet other tourists.

I've done the tour is London which was fun too, the guide was surprised that English people were doing it. The Edinburgh one is also good, though it depends on which guide you get. They are free in theory but the guides are working for tips so you give what you feel they deserve.

I went on the Edinburgh one last year in September. It was so good that we gave a 10 pound tip.

I wish they did one in Zurich or elsewhere in Switzerland as going there next week
