student loans and deferring ... lost job
Hi all
I have received my student loan company deferral forms - they say that I have to return them within 2 weeks of receiving them and the date of posting is 29 May and I got the letter on 24 June!!! Has anyone else had this?
I hope it isn't too late!
I really have to defer the loan - I lost my job at the end of May and still haven't sorted out benefits etc. I just have the couple of hundred quid left on my overdraft (not great) and am in arrears with rent but landlords are (so far!) understanding.
What do I submit to student loans? I cannot submit evidence of benefits and I am not supported by a partner etc.
Not great! Any help would be fantastic.
xx
Tilly

You can defer it at any time. The two week limit would be to defer without making a payment (presumably you were defering it already?). If you missed that, than you might have to make a payment or two, but you can still defer. If you're not sure what they need to see, then give them a ring.
(I guess this is probably already sorted since the post is about a week old - I'm surprised no-one else had replied.)0
