Sun cream for holiday

Hi All,

DH, DS and I are off on a holiday in Majorca in a couple of weeks. I need to get some suncream but really don't want to pay over the odds for it. I need a very high factor for DS preferably a 30 - 50+ and about a 16 or so for us adults.

I know most supermarkets have these lotions on BOGOF's but I was wondering if there was somewhere I could compare the prices?

Thanks

Naomi

Morrisons do a value cream, SPF 30, for £2.99. I bought some the other week and was quite impressed for the money!

Remember to look at the UVA Star rating as well!

    UVA - Ages the skin
    UVB - Burns
    .....

  • read the newspaper thread on discount, codes and vouchers board, as someone has just posted about a free suncream in one of this weekends newspapers ( redeemable at Lloyds pharmacy);)

I buy Tesco's own (factor 50 normally) at £3 per bottle and never had any problems with that. It doesn't stain clothes either, which I did find with Nivea.

I have heard that P20 is very good as it protects for up to 10 hours but it is quite pricey.

Have recently used Asda sun cream Factor 30 for sensitive skin. Was on offer for 2 for £5. Very good value. Would buy it again.

Boots usually have offers. They have many factors, but they do a 50 and a 15, which you need. All Soltan (Boots own brand) creams have the highest 5* ratings.

Some come in little screwlid sachets - like CapriSun drinks- and these are great as they're so light for carrying. And some have mossie deterrent mixed in with them.

I bought NO AD factor 30 from 99p stores the other day and I love No AD, it really is the onyl one I use apart from PIz. NO Ad used to be sold in asda but i think its been stopped now - its a US brand thats cheap as its isnt paying for advertising. If you can get this, I would.

If you are anywhere near a Home bargains though, Id try there, they always have great ones was only looking at them the other day nothing mroe than £3 including Ambre/ Nivea etc. Loads of factors, loads of childrens ones too,.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

The Boots essentials creams and sprays are about £3.50.

(Tip to image-conscious adults - the children's essential range is in a pleasant ordinary yellow colour and design rather than the cheapskate-flagging naked white sported by the adult range.)
