Painfully slow Woolwich application

I thought six weeks was a lot until I read the recent post about Abbey taking 11 weeks or more. Thank God I didn't go with them, as it was Woolwich had a slightly better deal. Hopefully your offer will be sent out soon. Keep chasing and good luck.0

I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a survey to instructed on a flat I am hopefully buying. After a week they told me it had been declined because they didn't understand the title of the property. They thought it was a freehold flat. I resolved this and they reopened the application. The next week I was told that my income was not what I had stated and it was a above their lending multiples. They misread my salary slip. I sent in another 3 salary slips then that was ok. Finally, on Friday I received a text saying that they had instructed a valuation. A gasp of relief. This morning I find that they are now questioning my wife's salary. The months bank statement previous was less than her latest salary slip. This is because she went from casual to a fixed term employment contract. It is a 3 month contract which is likely to be renewed. Does anybody know if the instruction of the valuation means the application has been excepted subject to the report or is likely they might pursue my wifes salary further? It just takes so long and seems never ending. Please advise if anyone has any knowledge or previous experience of the Woolwich.0

I'm afraid that they can still raise further enquiries even though they have instructed the valuation. We were asked for lots of documents after the valuation has been received from the bank. They asked for additional payslips, bank statements and further details of expenses such as council tax and student loans.
Good luck with the application.0
