Price protection for the sales

Does anyone know if there is something such as price protection on the high street?
I bought a belt from reiss on Tuesday priced £49 it is now on the website for £31.50 as of today, I havn't even worn it yet...gutted!

theres no statutory protection, some credit cards offer this as an extra though, egg money and maybe a few others0

I bought it on my tesco clubcard credit card (interest free and im collecting points, thought i was being clever!) I could maybe take the belt back, get a credit note (Reiss don't offer refunds) and then buy it again later that day or something, very cheeky I know but got to play them at their own game!!0

hey, some store cards offer price protection, but at a cost, not to mention the interest rates. i used to work in one of them and had to sell the card and pp and over the 4yrs i was there i never once heard of anyone actally making use of it.
but wouldnt it be great if all shops let us take things back and get them at sale price....aww we can only dream lol
