It includes colouring etc - I dont think thats too bad. Its hard to pretend to be a natural blonde . . . :rotfl:

I think what Talana is saying is things such as haircuts/colours is an obvious area for cutting back if you really want to put everything into your debts.

Its a personal choice obviously. I used to get my hair cut and coloured every 5 weeks and used to cost me in excess of £100. When I realised I was paying over £1000 a year on my hair and had £20k of debt for me I just couldnt justify it.

So I went back to my natural colour and now have just a cut every 6 weeks. The funniest thing for me is that I get more comments about my hair now then before so maybe I was wasting money even more than I realised :rotfl:

    Exactly!
If you want to spend money on hairdressing/colouring, then fair dos, who am I to argue?

But remind me again why you've posted on this board?
Your soa says that you need to cut back by £197 a month at present to break even.
If you can't/won't make savings on some areas then you need to make them on others.
It just cuts down your remaining options, and there's not a massive amount of wastage that I can see, apart from that £400 on petrol (another area which can't immediately be changed apparently).

That's not meant to sound harsh. ;)
But you have to decide where on your soa you're going to find this £197

Driving with the windows down is only fuel-efficient below 50mph. Above that speed the aerodynamics of the vehicle mean that it is better to close the window and use the A/C!
Nearly there! Been struggling for 7 years but the results are showing. :j
  • If you deduct all your work related expenses (£400 petrol, car loan) from you earnings (£1,500), how much are you actually earning? Might you be better looking for another job?
