I would adjust some of the gas/electric down and up the food. The end result will be the same;) but you can not always guarentee that whilst the OR may lower some things, they may not upp others to compensate.

    Hope that makes sense.Dx

  • Thanks for casting your eye over it again for me.

The gas & electric are duel fuel & cost us £165 per month & yes we have changed to another supplier, infact it has gone down from £190!!! I have asked so many times why our bills are so high & they say its because we use so much energy.

Our washing machine does 1 load a day (2 clean uniforms plus other day to day stuff per day needed)

I run an online business from home so the computer is on from 8.30am - 5.30pm, then the tv is on from about 8pm - midnight(ish)

Obvs gas for cooking ( a proper cooked meal every night) apart from the hoover doing its rounds once a day, I really cannot see where we use all this energy.

I will up the food bill, which includes the pet food/cleaning stuff/pack lunches for 2 hungry males & all toiletries

The other kids stuff is towards school funds/trips & packet money we give my son for doing jobs round the place (hes almost 13 & I think it a good idea to make him do stuff round the house, etc)

We get free dental & pescriptions so thats why I left it at zero

The Child benefit is included in the Benifits part & that is £87 per month

Thanks for doing ths for me, I really appreciate your time & comments.

After doing my business SOA, it looks like I may have to call it quits with my on line business, which I am gutted at. Its a pretty new venture & I absolutely love making the stuff I do (wedding jewellery) but it just hasnt taken off llike I would have liked it to do & orders are only trickling in bit by bit. Ive put a fair bit of money & a ton of effort into it but the recession is really biting the wedding industry.

    Thaks again

As far as child expenses go, £5 per week for activities is OK, especially at secondary level.

Don't forget school lunch if he has it and you aren't exempt from paying. It's about £30 per month when averaged out over the 39 weeks of the school year.

    Thanks for your reply Tristesse.

My son did have his lunch in the canteen but he now takes a packed lunch to school & I accounted for that in our Shopping part of the SOA.

I have not submitted any forms as of yet, Im just waiting to make sure that the child benefit/tax credits go over into my husbands account smoothly & also have arranged for csa maintenance payments from my sons dad, to switch over into my husbands accounts & then once that is all done, I will apply to our local court to petition.

    Thanks again for your help

I would still put school dinners down, what if he changes his mind, especially in the winter months.

I would also up the clothes to £100, bearing in mind at secondary school boys seem to get through uniform at an alarming rate, and there will be new football boots and trainers to buy in September too,

  • Thanks hun for that. Yes they certainly do grow very quickly. He has already gone up a shoe size in 8 weeks, so have just had to shell out for new school shoes & school trainers - he is in a size 8.5 already!! His "real" dad is 6ft 6 & a size 12 shoe, so goodness knows how much my son will grow as he gets older. I am only 5ft 5 so Im going to be dwarfed soon..lol

I will pop the school dinners down anyway

    Thanks again
