Freezing cream cheese (as part of a recipe@)

Options
I have started to make up some freezer meals ready for when baby arrives.

A lot of the things (stews, casseroles, etc) aren't really summer-y, so I've been looking for some alternative ideas.

One idea I have come up with is to stuff chicken breasts with garlic and herb soft cheese, wrap in bacon, place in dish and then pour over a tomato and basil sauce.

I have two questions about this:
1) will the soft cheese freeze OK?
2) I will be using chicken breasts that have already been frozen, so I'm planning to cook the meal, let it cool and then freeze it. When it comes to eating it, would you let it defrost before whacking it in the oven, or would you cook it from frozen? I'm erring towards the defrosting option first, but I'm not sure whether it would be necessary or not?

TIA :)

    Hello,

I freeze cooked meals all the time and have frozen soft cheese uncooked before a few times too. I've never had a problem.

Regarding the reheating, i would be declined to defrost the meal before reheating.
