Anyone who claims to know the answer to this is lying.

    Not a clue.

Predicting a year ahead is hard enough.

It'd be lovely if prices could just fall and then stay static relative to wages for ever and ever. Not going to happen though.

wolvoman.....can i ask how old are you?
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I am expecting something like this:

    1. Spring 2010 prices bottom out about 10% lower than now.

Possibly the start of interest rate rises around then.

So the bottom may be 18 months off yet.

As prices are drifting slowly down at the moment.

At a point the market will find a balance again within a range. That'll make buying and selling less of a risk than betting betting on black or red on a roulette wheel.
