Cruises from Rosyth

Can anyone recommend a cruise/trip from Rosyth? I did one to Bruges when it was the previous ship. Is the new one up to the former standard?

The new Zeebrugge ferry is up and running. I haven't travelled on it yet, but friends who have say it is more basic than previous one ie more ferry than cruise as far as what to do on the journey is concerned. Accommodation is similar, but cost is still very high.

If you are looking at actual cruises, Fred Olsen is now using Rosyth as its east of Scotland port rather than the previous Leith. Cruises leave July/August and mainly go to Norway, Baltic region. We've done the mini cruise when it used to leave from Leith and it was very good. This year's one goes in August from Rosyth (4/5 days not sure) and returns to Newcastle with bus available to bring you back to Rosyth. I think prices are down now to 'late availability offers'. Other longer cruises leave and return to Rosyth.

I've done four Fred Olsen cruises, two from Leith. They were both great and even thought the majority of other passengers were older they were a lively friendly bunch. The staff are brilliant and it is a very cosy cruise line to travel with. I got a brochure from them showing just Scottish and northern English departures. Hope you find something.
