My Prize (Gaming PC) Arrived Damaged ?

Hi I won a comp with MTV back in April and finally received it yesterday - a bespoke gaming pc worth £1,500. It came with no power cables etc so I got a mates bloke to come round to get it all set up for me. He noticed that is is damaged on the bottom it looks like it may have been dropped as it's dented and the metal is cracked he said it's completely broken. I have e-mailed them but not heard back yet (I know I need to give it a bit longer). The thing is they won't be able to replace it because it is some bespoke one. What shall I do if I don't hear back? what if they say it wasn't broken when they sent it? It was the best prize I have ever won so I am quite upset to be honest.

  • Oh that's rubbish, I'm not surprised you're upset :(. It probably got damaged in the post so maybe MTV can get compensation from whoever delivered it?

I hope you hear from them soon.

It's a bit difficult to speculate what MTV are likely to do about it. You really need to speak to them. Do you have a contact number or email address for someone connected to the competition?
Perhaps they could arrange for the PC to be repaired because I would imagine it's probably been damaged in transit.
    I think it's awful :( Poor you :(
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

They still haven't got back to me, I will give them until Monday then contact them again. My friends BF said I could sell the computer on ebay for someone that knows what they are doing to use the parts inside and I would probabaly get about £500 so I suppose that is some consolation.
