Need to get some fresh taragon for this Friday, can't get it at my local Booths or Somerfield, can anyone help me please. Also is it possible to grow it myself (I don't mean in time for Friday  ) for future use.
Thanks

You can grow tarragon. It needs a sunny position. It needs protection in the winter. You could try growing in a pot so that you can move it easily. French tarragon is recommended for cooking.
Freese dried tarragon is't too awful but you only need a small amount as it is quite pungent.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

dill or marjoram or fennel seeds may be used as a good substitute depends on the recipe of course.0
