OR attitude to low income and IPA's?

just wondering about this. If you put in your SOA £20 a month for a uk holiday - e.g a week in rhyl once a year

say if your on an income of £800 p/c and your living expenses are £700, so u may get an ipa for £50 a month. leaving you £50 a month

but if you earnt more and had a £800 surplus- e.g a £240 a month surplus after an ipa. would the the OR be more inclined to allow the £20 to the person with £50 left over?? or is just the same over the board?

stupid question I know but just a thought., but can you see where im coming from?

If you've got a bigger surplus and they're going to get an IPA anyway they're more likely to allow for a holiday.

If you're borderline, they may be more inclined to cut back non-essentials such as holidays just to get that £50.

    I think that's what you're asking :D

I covered this issue by having a "buffer zone" of £150 between what I told them I needed and what I actually earned

But it doesnt hurt to have some things in reserve incase your income increases while you're BR.
