Britannia raising SVR ?

Our fixed rate with Mortgage Agency no 5 ltd is due end on the 30 June. They are part of the Britannia Group. They sent us a letter today to inform us that as of the 1 July their SVR would rise by 0.75% to 3.74. The way the letter reads it would seem that they are going to raise this across the entire Britannia Group. Lucky for us our new Mortgage starts on the 1 July but it makes me mad that they can just put rates up when the BOE base rate is so low.

Perhaps the lender wants to make some money to justify the rates they are paying on savings products....0

If you require that feature you need to be looking at a base rate tracker.
SVRs don't have to link to the base rate,0
