No not unreasonable at all, a prize has to have some intrinsic value and should not be that complicated. really hope you can sort it out as it is in my eyes worse than not winning.

Thanks. I've been having a bit of a tough time recently (that's why not been posting very much) so it was such a nice win, but don't understand why it has to be so complex!!

I don't think that is fair at all, I don't know how many hotels the ones that are not availiable are out of but it does seem like there is alot you cannot choose. The trouble with these comps is that promoters cover their backs with "subject to availiablity" and "prize nights" nonsense so they can get paying customers in peak times and fill the hotels up when they would otherwise be quite.

What's so annoying is the competition said any of their hotels across the world, as did the magazine when they called me... Except it's not!!

Yep, I agree that's not exactly 'as described' is it.
As a next step I would choose 2, in order of preference and see what happens.

I would take the "subject to availability" as just that, if they're full the nights you ask for they say no and offer alternatives!
Keep going and just be polite I guess.
