British Gas and Elec

I included my outstanding elec and gas accounts in my BR and faxed and told BG my bankrupcy details

Today i log on to my account and it says this:


Gas (**********)

Your account is up to date view-account-green.gif
Electricity (*********)

Your account is up to date view-account-green.gif



When i view the accounts it says this

GAS:

Balance:
£ 1058.67 in debit

Tariff:
Gas: Standard

Payment method:
Cash/Cheque


ELEC:
Balance:
£ 1034.97 in debit

Tariff:
Elec: Single Rate

Payment method:
Cash/Cheque

    dunno how they are classed up to date not paid anything on them for the last 8 months

  • Doesnt 'in debit' means that amount is still owed? I thought if something was 'in credit' then it was up to date or ahead?

    Probably showing as "up to date" as they'll close the account & start a new zero balance one from the date you went BR...maybe?

    I wouldnt keep accessing your account online though....if its been included in your BR they can start to get a little awkward as technically its no longer your problem
