Hi,

I saw a TV article on this recently, a DWP investigator went to a couples house to confirm that they were separated even though living in the same flat. What seemed to clinch it, was the fact that the man said he never ate at home, and they had rearranged their sleeping arrangements so that they slept apart.

Their claim was approved.

So obviously, some people are genuinely in this situation, even if others are not. And short of the DWP living there with them, how else could this be verified?
