Yeh, it was the York range that I got (Chocolate Brown).
I've had it about 6 weeks now and I've no complaints about it.I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -

I know a company that will deliver 25 miles for free. they are a furniture manufacturer but you wont get a suite for anywhere near £500. The stuff is all made to order, the frames are extremely heavy and strong.
have a look at the site0 -

After 3 months of being fobbed off by HARVEYS I decided to go to Reid's and asked if they had any with immediate delivery. Only 3 in the shop ready to go, popped out and returned 20 minutes later with a van and took it right away, Senator 3.2.1 and footstool listed at £2500 down to £1300 it had a little mark on the 2 seater and got them down to £1099.
Harveys even have the cheek to charge me their credit card charges of £21, poor service from a poor company. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0 -
i actually went to harveys and got the 2 x 3 seater venice leather sofa's in the sale for £600 they arrived on friday and are exceptional quality. I agree with greytroot harveys customer service is awful and i think i would have been in the same situation as him if i hadnt found out the manager lives a few doors down from me.0

Mine was the Venice too it was the 3+2. Every time I called Harveys customer services they said they would call me back and never (12 times). After reading the watchdog report on BBC website I phoned the number it gave and was told they would sort it out straight away, failed to get in touch with me again. I sent their MD an email informing of the watchdog report on BBC and what happened top me - no reply - yet. I went to their shop again and informed them to cancel my order. At no time could I even get a straight answer on when the sofas would be delivered.
Shocking company and will never use again. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0 -
yeah its the same story they overran the 3 weeks they had promised on my order and would not give me a definite date it was always "we are expecting stock soon" i got !!!!!! off and went into the store and asked for the manager he came out and i thought i recognised him and when we were talking he said there had been a lot of problems with this offer due to some shops overselling thier allocated quantity and not leaving enough for the rest. The next day he phoned with a delivery date for the end of the week. So quite chuffed there but it could have been very different. Seems like these big stores really dont give a **** about the people who buy the sale stuff they are only interested in the ones they can sell a £3000 sofa to.0

Hi where I live there is a shop in the local town that sells loads of sofa's, we had a look and they are much cheaper than anywhere we looked. We ordered one and was amazed when they delivered it the very next day !!! I don't think they are nation wide but anyway they are called 'The Gainsborough Suite Centre'. I believe they also have one called 'Hemswell Suite Centre'. Hope this helps somebody. No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Harvey's have to be the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with - and I've dealt with some rubbish in my time!
Promised delivery in 8 weeks - took them 15.
Item was damaged - compained and promised a replacement in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later no replacement - complained and was told that it actually takes 6 weeks. 6 weeks later no replacement - complained and was told a replacement hadn't even been ordered but that it now had been ordered and would take 28 days. 28 days later and yes - you guessed it - no replacement and they still cant give me a delivery date. I've now told them to come and collect the lot and I'll have a full refund but they are refusing.
Total and utter waste of space. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HARVEYS - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!4kW 8.33 Eternity (2.5kW SSE 1.5kW WSW). Glinton, Cambridgeshire.0 -
Definitely try DFS. Also, have you thought about looking on ebay? Some sofas there are barely used.0
