Will Lloyds ever give in???

Will Lloyds TSB ever give in to token payments?

So far only a month missed - although we have been paying them token payments on all 4 of the debts.

In 3 weeks we have sent almost 11 letters.

We did last week receive a letter from the complaints dept that they were looking into things for us, but we are still receiving letters every single day, apart from Sundays of course lol.

This all started before we fell into arrears, we asked for help with knowing what was to come, they told us on the phone to contact an organisation which we did the CCCS, then they could help, but even by doing this they don't want to know.

Hi. Why keep writing them letters? you clearly are not getting anywhere with them. What have CCCS said? Personally I don't think that after missing just one payment they will agree to things and clearly the letters are just going around and around - maybe to different people, different departments etc. You seem like you are wasting your time.
Some creditors take 6 months or more to accept payments - or even longer.
I think you need to keep an eye on what they are sayng , check in with CCCS if really worried but keep paying them month in month out and after a while they will hopefully eventually accept your payments.
I don't think they have to accept your payments or stop interest - most do eventually and you have CCCS on your side as well.
I am sure others will be along with their advice.
    Good Luck

    Thanks for this.;)

What annoyed me was receiving a default notice on just missing one payment.

We do not have DMP, but advice only from the CCCS.

Your right though, even though they did refund the 2 loan repayments after complaining in 2 letters within a few days, but the rest of them, yes defo a waste of time and energy.

    Again cheers for this.;)

    Hi Di,
It's early days yet, yes, I know that's not what you want to hear. If you're like me you want everything settled yesterday, lol. As long as you keep sending something at least they can't say you have been ignoring the problem. I found it easier to speak to my creditors, then I could explain exactly what was going on and answer any questions. A lot of people say that is the wrong thing to do because you haven't got any proof in writing and they try to bully you into paying more than you can. I knew I couldn't offer any more than they were receiving and that if they became obnoxious I could always hang up.
Sorry I can't be any more help, but I do hope that it gets sorted very quickly for you.

Hi di3004, your problem with lloyds sounds like what my oh is about to experience, luckily I got him to open a new acct in time and we are now awaiting friday, which is when lloyds are going to realise that his wages are not there and the loan will not be paid at the previous rate, he too has o/d, cc and loan,, I have letters all ready to send offering token payments, not contacted cccs as yet as surplus is under 100...and although he isnt bothered at all I am absolutely terrified. Good luck with it all x

    Thanks all for your response.;)

Even though we have opened a new bank account which has nothing to do with lloyds, we have had to keep reminding some of the bens offices about the new account, the bank had done this for us, but we have contacted them ourselves as well now to make sure.

Things are gradually starting to settle in the new account, and with a bit of luck that is the last of the bens that was paid in the account yesterday, will remind them again me thinks, of lloyds will take advantage again.

Cheers all and good luck as well with yours.:A;)
