car finance and bike

Hi all, wonder if someone can give me some guidance...OH has a moped, which he uses for work worth about £150, he has to use this due to location of work... He also has a hp agreement taken out this year for a car at 130pm, which I have use of for school runs ... I believe if he was declared br then finance co would take car back, which leaves 130pm+ petrol, extra so to speak but then that leaves me with having to get 4 buses a day with 3 kids, which is going to cost

my question really is that initial soa will have full running costs for car and bike but then some time after br the car would go and soa would change, so would the new costs ie bus fare be allowed or what if after he went br i bought a cheap banger in my name ,would it be allowed in soa,,, can they change soa in these types of cases to allow for change of travel costs?

and is it worth holding onto the car until after br or is it better to stop payments prior to br and let them take it???

Thanks in advance for any guidance, Im trying to let him sort it out himself but finding it hard as this has repurcussions for myself and my children...

If it's just your OH going BR your bus fares can't go on his SoA. If he's not using the car for work the petrol costs can't go on either, it will have to be the car or the bike, not both.

  • Cool, thanks for that :)
