Options
Hi i was wondering if any one can help me?? I am after the SAMSUNG YP-Z5 4GB mp3 player. It is samsungs equivalent of the ipod nano, but 100 times better ( it is scratch proof!!!). The cheapest I have found it for is £126 on ebay, but would like it cheaper. Does any one know if it is possible to get it any cheaper??

Post your finds here :A

Beware of calling this the Nano killer. I've read several reviews of this phone in mobile phone magazines and T3 and Stuff and they all point to two problems. The main one is battery life. It's apparently terrible. I know iPods are also well known for having poor battery life but remember that this is also a phone so will be on all day. The other thing is it's size. While it's not huge there are certainly a lot smaller phones out there. For the time being I would recommend sticking to an mp3 player.

I believe like many people that the day will come when mp3 players and compact point and shoot digital cameras will be killed by all in one phones but things have only just started and the all in one option isn't a good one just yet. You also have the problem with inferior music software on the phone.

One thing that is hotly rumoured is that Apple themselves will take it upon themselves towards the end of this year/beginning of next year to kill the iPod themselves. The Apple iPhone is on the cards. They'll ditch the Motorola partnership and go it alone. The future is bright, the future is definitely all in one mobile phones. Once they sort the battery life out that is.

I think you are confusing this with another model. This is not a phone. It has superb battery life and does seem to be better than the nano.

How about the Sony NW A1000? It's currently selling for £119.99 in Sony Centres across the UK, managed to get my hands on the silver one, black is hard to get hold of...

If you can wait, go for the Scandisk Sansa E200, very similar to the Samsung, but with FM radio and video playback.
