How to get creditors to not call?

Hi guys,

I have set up a DMP with PP which will start on the 1st July.

My Question, is there anyway i can ask creditors to only write to me as the harrasing calls from company in particular are driving me mad.

PP will be contacting the creditors soon, but until then?

Thanks

N

    hi
yes, you can tell them you will only communicate via letter. It is far more sensible to do it like this anyway, for loads of reasons. There is a ltter on here about it--I'm sure if you use the search or look thro the sticks you will find one.
As Charlie has said, don't answer the security qs, and tell them that you have been advised to keep everything in writing.
They wii phone for a while, so if you have a phone that recognses numbers just don't answer it, or block the call or even change the number.

Don't forget about the new mobile directory thats has started--go ex-dec on there asap.

    Dear Sirs,

    Harassment by telephone

    Account Number: XXXXXXX

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.

I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls. (Delete if necessary)

I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.

I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Please treat this also as a formal complaint, and send me a copy of your company complaints procedure.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded. (**Even if you don‘t yet have recording equipment!!**)

    Yours faithfully,

    (type don't sign)
