help:(

Hi i posted this in another forum but need help from anyone really
I am so annoyed. I phoned a company regarding a loan and was duely passed to Ashley Park a Debt solutions agency. It sounded like a good idea at the time so i said yes. Fortunately things changed slightly for me and I no longer need their service. They have debited my bank account £75!!!

Unfortunately i did not realise that on the day i gave them my account details i had just 7days to cancel i thought it was from the date it debited my account. So i called to explain this and the girl was more than unhelpful and said i had lost my £75.

Is there anything i can do because obviously £75 is a lot of money to me and cant afford to waste it on nothing. can anyone advise me?

It also seems that the intital payments is for fees to set up the account this was definitely not explained to me. so they are charging me for doing nothing!!

Please tell me i can get back my money?

Did you sign any form of agreement?
Or was this done just over the phone?

I'd also suggest editting your post and change the title so that others may come along with more input. I've never dealt directly with one of these agencies.

Have you spoken to your bank yet? I think you can dispute the payment through them.

Also, as GeorgeUK says, did you sign anything? If not, I don't see how they could claim that you only have 7 days to change your mind.

I would check that timing too as I thought (please double check) that the minmum time for 'right to change your mind' is 14 days from the date you sign an agreement. But I am not entirely sure. Worth checking though.

    Good luck!
