I consider it a personal triumph that I managed to get through the 2008 Olympics without watching a single second! I was on camp with 600 Guides.
I intend to do the same in 2012 or leave the country.
(Bookie doesn't watch sport in any form.)

Only gym so far ticket wise but you can register - also if you are feeling cheap you can offer to volunteer at some events (you may not get what you ask for though remember that!)...
I intend to take the two weeks off work - OH is thinking of marshalling for the marathon as well...I am tempted to stay out of London though and rent my room but I think it wont be worth it...
I dont normally watch too much stuff but its on my doorstep so its quite exciting really (trialthon is in Hyde Park so thats a 10 minute walk too)0 -
Bookie, I agree totally! Although I do occasionally watch football.
Toto, glad you're feeling stronger today. I still can't get my head around a neighbourhood where garden swings are frowned upon!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Toto :grouphug: I can't believe anyone could complain about a little girl playing. I suppose some people still think children should be seen and not heard?
I have been reading your blog and am just amazed - sorry, don't want to overdo it but you're very inspiring.
I was thinking the other day actually about how amazing the collective DFW is - to think that (mostly) people are brought here by money worries but look at the achievements and amazing things people here have done - it is a melting pot of triumph and success and all done by the most honest and down to earth people. I love this site.0 -

Well said Daphne. It is an amazing community. The help and support I have had has been amazing.
It was the anonimity (sp) of it that was good at first but it is no different now that I have met people in the flesh.
Need to dry hair - I am way behind today!0 -
