I was wrong about the Metro Sainsbury's free crisps coupon being only available for salt & vinegar, ready salted and cheese & onion. I managed to use it for other flavours.
I normally buy multi-packs. The normal price of this 34.5g is something like 40-45p for what seems mostly like a bag of air!!
So make the most of this freebie.
Also the free book with today's Times is 4.50 from Paddington. It's a Miss Marple one.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

Just had an email about fridays telegraph. Free Smoothie and 50p MOC it seems?
Good news
This week’s good news is that on Friday you can get a free smoothie in the Daily Telegraph. That’s right. Free. Completely free. None of this collect-the-tokens-write-a-random-amount-cheque-and-badger-the-postman-til-it-arrives nonsense. Just buy yourself a copy of the Telegraph this Friday (26th June), exchange torn out coupon for your free smoothie in Tesco and enjoy a free helping of 2 of your 5-a-day on us until Sunday. What’s more, there’s also a 50p off coupon any of our little bottles in Tesco and that’s valid until next Friday. Now that’s what I call good news.0 -
from hduk;
In the main section of News of the World this Sun 28 June (£1) is a voucher for £5 off Boots in store only. The voucher's valid between Sun 28 June to Sat 4 July but cannot be used on infant milk (up to 6 months), items on prescription, postage stamps, gift cards and mobile phone top ups
£5 off £30 spend0 -

In fact there is evidence to the contrary as we all know that Tesco must, despite the self-righteous words of yourself and some others, receive hundreds of such coupons every day across the country. They tolerate them as they know that they have stopped customers shopping in other rival stores. They patently see coupon use (even non-Tesco ones) as 'loss-leaders' and take them regardless.
I fail to see how persuading people NOT to use them will make any difference. If a huge increase in people using them happened I am not sure it would make any difference either.
The ending of Tesco's current coupon policy will not be dictated by 'fraudulent' coupon use but by the whole coupon policy and its effects on profits.
receive hundreds of such coupons every day across the country
They probably do from idiots that don't know the policy and will ruin it in the end for everyone.
And, I'd just like to correct you - I'm not being self-righteous. I'm pointing out that if 100s of people went into Tesco and used a coupon that is specifically for another supermarket (in this case the Walkers coupon) then there would be NO MORE COUPON POLICY AT TESCO. End of Story. It has nothing to do with profits either.
I see you are a new member. Perhaps you might consider reading back through some of the posts regarding coupons at Tesco. Consider what others have said in the past and then consider whether you think it is worth passing off a 45p coupon in Tesco. All Tescos that accept coupons have (mostly) trained SAs who know NOT to take other supermarket specific coupons. It is not a question of getting people in the door.
The only coupons that Tesco take are NON STORE SPECIFIC manufacturers coupons, their own logo'd coupons and Conditional Spend coupons issued by other supermarkets.0 -

The company probably tolerates a reasonable amount of coupons that they cannot get any money back as a 'loss leader' to get people into their shop. I am sure they would rather take a 50p Somerfield coupon and have a person do their weekly shop in their store that have the same person go to Somerfield itself. ( I don't see how Tesco can make profit when I spend £50 weekly and only paid £1.60! - bearing in mind that my T does not accept printable coupons & I am relying on newspaper & magazine & mfg coupouns) I tend to find that all the self-righteous people providing warnings about coupon use are not thinking of others but are just being selfish and inward looking. (we are not self-righteous, we are only trying to take advantage of the current situation, I just hope that you do not do your shopping at the same stores as me or hnscott or any of us regulars)
hnscott, you are absolutely right on there.:TRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

Tesco have probably received 10s of thousands of fraudulent, out of date, or incorrect coupons over the last few years.
And guess what - there coupon policy is still with us.

Rubbish indeed...
Perhaps you'd like to pop along to my local store and explain to them that actually they are happy to accept the odd Somerfield moc. Seems they've not realised that by banning peole they catch doing it, limiting their moc policy to 5 mocs + no printables and making their customers go through hoops even to follow that policy.
As for accusing people of only thinking of themselves... I have only 3 words for you.

Many thanks for your vote of support. If everyone thought and behaved like Bellencheddar they'd be no coupon policy to worry about.
