can I just clarify what peachy said? do you mean that if you have utility arrears eg gas, you can go bankrupt and the utility company cancels out the arrears and lets you start again without installing a prepayment meter? some do some dont....depends what they decide (scottish power let me continue on a direct debit after my BR) Do they ask for a deposit or guarantor? Sometimes...depends on the supplier That seems very nice of them! Or do you mean you can stay with them if you don't have arrears? nothing to stop you
A few thoughts
BTW way, what the dickens is BSC membership? Boston Sports Club? Bucharest Student Chapter? Bird Spotting Canada? or Broke & Skint Club?

bankrupt supporters club.... I must join that, when I can afford the subs.
thanks for the other info, though the last point about staying with the supplierr should have asked if it was meant that you could stay with them post BR ONLY if you didn't have arrears. I sure the policy depends according to the supplier.0 -
Thank you all for good commets. Today I have managed to start filling the forms online and also I have found the details for my local court. So now I am in process of finalising my SOA, finishing to fill all the forms and tomorrow hopefully I can get some of my stock sold so that I can get money towards the BR fees."Everything will be alright in the end. Hi,
I haven't done much progress so far but today I managed to get myself into the court house and booked the court date. I mistakenly thought that I should have all the papers and the money ready when booking but I don't. I wish I had realised that as now I have to wait almost 3 months for the court date. Anyway, should give me enough time to sell my stock and get some money towards the fees.
Another thing I have done today (not strictly relating to BR) is that while at court house I picked up forms to take my ex to small claims court for unpaid child maintenance. I have set CSA now starting 1st of July after him but I will try to get the older stuff via the court. If I can get money out of him that would get my rent and nursery payments up to date. Also I might be moving soon (it is all very much in the air) and having some money as deposit (if I can find a landlord silly enough to rent to bankrupt single mum on housing benefits) would be fantastic."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
