Removals from NI to London

After 10 years of moving about my daughter is finally needing stuff taken from Northern Ireland to London (an empty roof space at last)!! Can anyone recommend a good courier service? A lot of her stuff includes books, so by volume is better than weight. I'd appreciate any help. I'm in Carrick, if that helps.

Hi, depends how much stuff she has really.
We use "sendmybag" a bangor company for uni . stuff transfers. its £20 for a box or case up to 30 kg which we think is good.

Artytarty, There will be quite a few boxes, no idea how this would work for books, do you?

I had a friend recently move from over here to London and then after a year or so they moved back. Both times they used McCluskeys removals and they were very efficient and she highly recommended them. However no idea if your daughters stuff would be large enough to warrant this or what kind of price they would charge.

Just a thought tho... good luck whatever you end up doing.

Box everything in strong cardboard boxes (can be got free as ex waste from many shops) stack it up to 6ft on a pallet, then shrink wrap it (can be got from likes of Brow packaging). £75-£95 will get it to London easily via most transport companies, state that there is no loading by either side & a lorry with a tail lift is required!

Just to let you know, my daughter used sendmybag.com for a very reasonable price - and because there were more than 3 bags she got discount. Six boxes turned up within 48 hours as promised and the one remaining one arrived first thing the next morning. I'd certainly recommend this service. Thanks for the recommendation Artytarty.
