Is this true?
It seems the CSA have allowed debts to be built up, in many cases letting the debt build up without letting the NRP know and only when it gets triggered do they try to action the case. On IMA's and arrears pre-2000 the paperwork was so shoddy that it was left in the archives to accumulate. Thats now why the NRP#s are being chased in many cases for debts they knew nothing about. On really old cases, where they have no backdated records they are losing many cases at tribunal. Much of this debt is being written off (technically) or suspendid. Where they have no or very little information on the NRP these cases are not even going to tribunal, even though Liability orders are being certified at court stage with very little evidence.
It is my understanding on old arrears where they cannot action any arrears through DEO they are pretty powerless to do anything. In many cases all they can do is prevent you from getting credit anywhere. They can on newer cases go through credit checks and banks, but on much older cases they loathed to do it, as they can be breaking laws if they have wrong figures.
Thats the way, I understand it, correct me if I;m wrong.
