Just had a missed call from the Daily Telegraph - feeling nervous now! The message you get when you call back is "don't worry, we'll endeavour to call back later". HURRY UP!!

I don't wish to disappoint you but I've got a feeling it's their marketing department trying to sell you a subscription.
I've been plagued by calls from them the past few weeks. Is it an 0208 phone number? Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I couldn't say for definite that you've not won something though.
All I know is that they have been ringing me twice a day for the past fortnight but it always rings off before I get there to answer it so I googled the number and it would seem to be their subscriptions marketing department.
I don't know whether or not they use the same number for wins though?
Anyhow, the calls are starting to piddle me off :mad:Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I think I'm actually going to try and answer it next time they call (generally twice a day, late morning and then again around 2pm) and I'm going to just say 'No thanks, I can't read'Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I had one of these calls last week and the man on the phone asked me if I bought the Telegraph. I said daily and he went on and on - so happy blah blah blah. Then asked if I would like a subscription at a discount if I paid by direct debit.
I told him I get the Telegraph delivered and I currently had a subscription to their offices in Belfast! This confused him somewhat and said they don't have an office in Belfast. To which I replied - oh, are you not the same people who print the Belfast Telegraph? He stuttered and said no, no we are a different paper - and immediately apologized and hung up.
Needless to say I have not received any more phone calls! :rotfl:"We all change when you think about it. We're all different all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good. You've got to keeping moving. As long as you remember all the people that you used to be." - The Doctor0 -

I am plagued with calls by their sales team I sometimes get 3 or 4 calls a day.It doesnt seem to matter how many times I ask them to remove my details they just keep on.
Hope you get a real win soon. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0
