Hi,

Can you please give me a list of all the Mortgage lenders which are not accessed by IFA's/Mortgage advisors ??

Also which lenders have most tough underwriters for mortgage and which are the most easy underwriters.

Thanks

When you say 'tough', what issues are you concerned about?

most Irish Banks lending in the UK
small regional building societies - can usually only be accessed by local brokers

Of course they all have very strict underwriting.

No lenders have easy underwriters as such. Some that charge high rates can take a modicum of risk, but all are bound by the FSA rules - to lend responsibly.

There are some lenders charging high rates that specialise in specialist lending such as developent, but the rates will be 7 - 18% depending on the risk.

Its a new build house and few of the lenders require high deposit such as HSBC which has max LTV as 75 % for new build house. Even with 75 % they are not sure whether they will lend the money. They might ask for 30 - 40 % deposit depending on the applicant and his situation.

So to be more specific, what deposit do you actually have?

Your thread would have been better titled 'which lenders will do 85% LTV on a new build?'
