Ive found a good re-mortgage deal for myself and the mrs and want to proceed.
Mortgage length 5 years fixed at 5.69 LTV 82%
fees £540 inc valuation and solicitor
Questions I want o ask tonight before I proceed are
1 - is the mortgage portable
2 - can I over pay
3 - what % can I over pay
4 - What are the early redemption charges
5 - Can I take payment holiday
Anything else I should be asking?
Thanks.

THese are not questions you should be needing to ask - The lender should be telling you these, and they should all be given to you in writing, on the Key Features illustration.0

Most info you can usually get online or in the KFI document. However here are a couple I ask also.
- Are payment holidays available if you overpay?
- Can you reduce the term at any time during the introductory term (this helps keep your monthly payment level as by overpaying on a regular basis the monthly paymnet due will reduce.
- Is interest charged daily/monthly
- Can you get a "consent to let" on the mortgage if required and what is the cost.
