If you like the lovely venue - don't have a roped off area in the bar afterwards, see if they will allow you to use the room where you are having your meal.

I'd ditch the work colleagues too - but I also agree you will lose a few people. We've invited 40 to ours and there are 8 (two families) who can't make it due to holidays.0
