tesco miss selling

please be aware in Tesco's ,over the miss labeling of prices with regards alcohol. I purchased to box's of larger for the advertised price of 2 for £16 but was charged £10 per box. Tesco said they had accidentally placed the brand I bought in the wrong place. They admitted the advert "2 for £16" was actually touching the box I bought but that was it. The ignorant manager said "it had nothing to do with her". Please please be aware because they don't give a stuff

Yes this happens quite a lot in Supermarkets, not just Tesco. Did you stay calm about it though, your post wording 'ignorant' and 'don't give a stuff' reads as aggressive if you don't mind me saying...

A a nicer staff member might have admitted it was their error and as the pricing had misled you, they COULD have offered you their usual 'overcharge' refund policy of Double the Difference (i.e. £8 back as an apology). I would have asked for this but would have gone for a bit of friendly banter about the error first, to get them onside!;)

May be worth phoning to complain - very calmly and politely, no ranting, keep the higher ground against this staff member - Dundee Customer Call Centre (Tesco) on 0800 505555. Explain that you were misled and which store it was in, and the Manager's response.

I reckon they may send you a gift card as an apology if you play it right (miffed customer treated badly by stroppy Manager, not angry customer).

I was very polite but have got angry since. I did just ask for them to refund my £4. I didn't want any thing else. My words are "the stuff it" I feel thats what they meant. They insisted I had paid the correct price (which I suppose I did) but the advertised price was 2 for £16 with the advert touching my box. This happened on Sunday and I think I have steamed my self up. I repeat I was very polite on the day but have got angry since. thanks for the link but I have sent a nice email to Tescos and trading standards.

Recieved nice letter of apology from tescos and a gift card. I only wanted my £4 back but got £20. So ha ha to the manager who said "its nothing to do with me"
