Have you checked his credit file?
You should be fine - it sound like you should talk to a whole of market mortgage adviser who will walk you through the whole process and make it easy for you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Haven't bothered to check his as he is far better with money than I am (no credit card debts etc!)
I've spoken to a broker who has recommended a mortgage for us, I just wanted to check that once the application goes in that we won't get knocked back from my slightly lack attitude.0 -
Ask the broker to get you an agreement in principle from the lender (mortgage promise) before you submit a full application, that way the lender will have already perfromed a credit check and income multiples etc against their own criteria and if it is agreed in principle it is unlikely you will be declined.I am a Mortgage Adviser
