hi went br on 7 may after a very long struggle

included in the br was a lloyds acc i had went to speak to them after they wrote to me and said they were charging me £150 in charges as it was a joint acc explained that it was my fault the charges and they have been wiped i was shocked to be offered to keep the acc something my man has now been taken off account i wanted as i have been with the bank for over 15 years now !

i'm allowed the acc although i cant have dd's etc and only a cash/electron card im made up waiting for the card to arrive i doesnt matter about dd's as my wages are currently being paid into my mans account and i only have 1 dd my phone bill !

so in the long term i will have a bank account for a lot of years fab !!

Be careful - has the OR said you can use it? As theoretically they would have taken control of the account the second you went BR.

Good luck with the account some banks are changing their attitude to BRs however some people have been told by the branch that they can keep their account only for it to be closed by HO.
