Can you take out an insurance before the existing one runs out? For instance my present insurance runs out on the 6th July and I should like to take up this offer. Can I take out this insurance on the 29th June, so in effect I shall have two running at the same time?

yes n no - if u cancel now u will be due to pay all the policy (in most cases - and a certain if u had a fault claim this year), but u may gain from doing so. However, if u have not got full no claims bonus, u will loose this years entitlment (1 yr) as u cancelled before the yr was out. Further, u cant insure ur car again onna new policy as its illegal to insure the same car twice.... good luk

but u should be able to post date the insurance to the date as its not far off (within 30 day), go online and have agon it will ask u the start date of the policy, dont forget to cancel ur last policy if its automatic renewal

as said above you can choose for your new policy to start within 30 days of purchase.

I have tried using this Swinton offer but can't find anywhere to put the code, any one help?!

You put the code in on the last page of the quote, just before it gets calculated. If your re-newal date is after 30th June it won't accept it. It will accept the £40 off code advertised at the bottom of every page of their website.

i took out my insurance with swinton through moneysupermarket dot com about 4 weeks ago and recieved 70 cashback through them... not sure if its still running tho, but if it is hope that helps some of you

Can get a quote but can't seem to buy on line. 0800 number to ring but of course if you purchase through that you lose your Quidco. Anyone else having same problem?
