Thanks for thati have a sansa mp3 and it does not work
Have you found a cheap mains charger that does work with sansa MP3s? If so which?
I presume they have put in some sort of electronic check to make sure you can only buy their accessories and thus profit from it (like printer manufacturers).0 -

They don't work for ipods either  I got one a couple of weeks ago for my ipod touch but it doesn't charge. I have another similar thing for my car which also doesn't work with my ipod, so I'm guessing it's Apple's fault

I don't really mind too much though, as it was so cheap. I'm hoping one day that it will just magically work with the ipod!!!0 -
:beer:As well as contributing to this thread I started a new one on my subject

Thanks very much, Sounds like just what I want. Before I started it never crossed my mind that it could be so complex. Its just a low voltage charger for goodness sake!!!0 -
Just a heads up for people looking for one of these I have found a great version of this product in Tesco (Its more expensive but bear with me while I explain)
They are instore at Tesco only and located in the AIsle with Light bulbs and plugs etc,
The big bonus is the pack contains.
Mains USB Charger with 3 USB outputs so you can charge 3 USB devices at the same time from the same plug (I use mine to charge 2 PS3 Joypads and a PS3 Bluetooth headset)
Car USB Charger with 1 USB output so you can charge a USB device in the car
USB Charger leads for Nokia - Motorala - Sony Ericcson and some other mobiles also included.
OK it costs £5.98 (Reduced from £12.98) BUT it also comes with 200 Bonus Tesco clubcard points worth £2.00 in Tesco or £4.00 with Double up or £8 in Club card deals
So you could end up with getting a better more versatile unit from Tesco, basically for Free with points
Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
This sounds really interesting for my daughter instead of charging mp3/ipod etc via the laptop.0

I got that above one from tesco too Vicky (mainly cos the points are very attractive to me
) but sadly it didnt work on my iphone (even though it says charges ipod on it, so thought i'd be ideal!) but nope, didn't work...
Shame cos it was pretty cool having all that extra. 0 -
the one from amazon will not charge an ipod - i put my ipod on charge with 50% power
2 hours later my ipod battery was flat!!
not quite what a charger should do
ipod charger is 1A charging current
the amazon one is 500mAYou got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.0
