Update..Red card, but no parcel!

Hope the parcel turns up.

I had a card & missing parcel once but it turned out that after the postie had posted the card my neighbour had been in the garden so he gave her the parcel to give to me. Unfortunately I discovered this after the trip to the PO.

I think all PO's have their own time schedule. Mine is usually 3 -4 hours after the missed delivery - just whenever the postie finishes his round.

When I get red cards it usually says leave at least 24hrs before you can go and collect it. I normally go the following morning and its there.

My postie always describes the parcel on the card too, like brown packet or black box etc. Makes it more interesting in trying to figure out what it can be before going to get it haha.

I wouldn't worry yet hun. My partner was a postman for a couple of years and they were meant to return undelivered mail/parcels to the post office once they'd done thier round, but as he didn't drive he never did this, he just headed home cos he could have been quite a way from the office. They say round here to wait 24 hours before attempting to collect it, and this is why, cos the posties can't always get back!
