SoA - accommodation

I have a difficult accommodation situation and could use some good advice:

I am just divorced and starting to move in with a new partner. We are likely to marry within a few months at the latest.

As a result of the divorce I am being forced into bankruptcy (about to apply for it). My problem is that my work is in London (where I will spend approx 3 nights a week staying with friends). My main home will be in the West Midlands. I will be spending Friday - Monday nights inclusive (4 nights) here. My work is a combination of office based and travelling around the country. My personal fueld requirement is £250 per month to take in the weekly trips to the Midlands and back and the daily 36 miles return from the friends house to work and back.

My future wife owns her house with a mortgage. The mortgage is still young and depending upon valuation has between negative equity and +£25,000 equity.

With us moving in together we had agreed to me paying £1,150 per month for all-in rent (council tax, utilities, insurance etc). Effectively £850 of this is pure rent/lodging.

She is on a low income with a daughter (ex-husband pays only £5 per month mainenance - CSA not interested in case!) and is on tax credits. This does not cover her costs.

Has anyone been in this sort of position and gone into bankruptcy? How is the OR likely to look at it? The monthly sum I am paying is similar to what I would pay in rent and bills elsewhere in the south-east.

Any help would be gratefully received.
