Littlewoods Charge

Hi All

I was recently charged by Littlewoods for missing a direct debit. My intentions were to pay off the account. On the day the direct debit was due I paid the remainder of the account which was more than the direct debit.

The direct debit wasn't accepted but they still charged me even though a payment was made for the amount they were asking, and more.

They informed me that this is due to possibly the payment being made after the direct debit failed and they didn't know my intentions.

Am I able to reclaim this charge back?

Many thanks for your help.

yes. put it in writing as you just explained and tell them you believe the charge was unfair, and as goodwill gesture to a valued customer ask the charge to be refunded. should work.
