i have a loan at the moment from barclays and only have 8 more payments left but really could do with a consolation loan to make things a lot easier,
im paying 280 for the loan at the moment , but with all other debts i pay approx 800 a month out, i was hoping to get a lump sum to lower my payments to make things easier,
how easy is it to get a top up loan , im worried about calling...

8 payments left is not too long. Your debt with this company will be gone in 8 Months completely.
You could then throw the amount you are currently giving them each month, to get rid of the others.
If you top up now, those 8 Months are going to turn into many many many more months.
Dig your heels in and stick it out, you will pay much less in the long run.0 -

You are asking the wrong people. Only Barclays can give you an idea whether they will top up your loan, and that will depend on many factors, not least of which how you run your accounts with them, assuming you also bank there.
If you are worried about phoning, as you stated in your original post, then why don't you apply online through their personal banking facility. Barclays have a habit of 'pre-approving' their credit offers to customers and making these known to you via the online banking, so why not check there to get an idea first.
I still echo other comments though - struggle on for 8 more months.......you won't regret it in the long run.
Still, I am sure you know best0 -
You can also just pop in to your local branch and ask to see your limits screen - this will tell you if you're pre-approved for anything before you even put in an application. What would William Shatner do?0
